Vetrimaran makes it again!!! 'Visaranai' wins its first International award

Director Vetrimaran`s third directorial Visaranai` achieved the honour of being the first Tamil film to be screened under the Orizzonti competitive category in the Venice International Film Festival. If this was not enough, the film has also received its first award in its first screening amidst international audience and film critics.
Visaranai` produced by Vetrimaran and Dhanush has won the Cinema for Human Rights' in Venice Film Festival after it was screened on Friday. It is worth recalling that the duo`s earlier production venture Kaakka Muttai` directed by Manikandan also won many awards in International Film Festivals and also a National award before its theatrical release for the general audience.
Vetrimaran has made this film Based on a novel written by an Auto driver Chandran. The film stars Dinesh, Anandhi and Samuthirakani important roles.
