Vetrimaran's dream project begins today

Finally putting all speculations to end, actor Dhanush and director Vetrimaran have officially launched their dream project 'Vada Chennai' today with a formal pooja. The shooting has also started today.
Dhanush and Vetrimaran have earlier teamed up for 'Polladhavan' and 'Aadukalam' which won multiple National awards including the award for the Best Actor going for Dhanush who played the lead actor in the film. Vetrimaran's third directorial 'Visaranai' is the only film that did no have Dhanush as an actor but he was involved in the project as one of the producers.
Now 'Vada Chennai' which is touted to be a trilogy of with 30 years of underworld history of North Chennai. The first part has started today. The film stars Dhanush, Samantha and Andrea in lead roles. Samuthirkani who won the National award for the Best Supporting Actor for his performance in 'Visaranai', will be playing an important supporting character in this film. Santhosh Narayanan will be doing the musical score.
With 'Aadukalam' and 'Visaranai' the two films of Vetrimaran and Dhanush winning multiple national awards, it is an undeniable fact that the duo are capable of winning a national recognition whenever they team up. So we can safely consider today as the start of another National award winning project.
