Vetrimaaran, one of the most celebrated filmmakers in the country is currently busy with his new movie 'Viduthalai' starring Soori and Bhavani Sre in the lead roles with Vijay Sethupathi playing a powerful character called "Vaathiyaar". The film based on the novel 'Thunaivan' by Jeyamohan is produced by Elred Kumar.

Filming for 'Viduthali' took place in various locations including Sathyamangalam, Changalpet and Sirumalai in Dindigul district. It is said that there is one more schedule that will take place soon and then it will be a wrap.

Meanwhile there is a new addition to the cast and it is none other than Surya Vijay Sethupathi the son of Vijay Sethupathi. According to reports the teenager is playing the role of tribal boy and impressed the cast and crew with his performance. Surya has already starred in 'Naanum Rowdydhaan' and 'Sindhubaadh' both starring his dad in the lead. The film also has Gautham Vasudev Menon in an important role and is expected to release by year end.
