Acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran is currently directing 'Viduthalai' starring Soori as the lead actor and Vijay Sethupathi playing the penultimate role. Produced by Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment, it is based on the 'Thunaivan' short story by Jeyamohan and is being made in two parts.

The makers recently wrapped up a major stunt schedule in Kodaikanal and the project is nearing completion including the filming of two parts. The latest buzz is that the makers are planning to release the first part during the first week of November 2022. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in the role of a teacher while Soori plays a police constable in the film.

Viduthalai also stars Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, Chethan and many prominent actors. The first part of the film is under post-production. Ilaiyaraaja is scoring the music for the movie while Velraj handles the cinematography. Stay tuned for more updates.
