Vetrimaaran has once again proved that he is right at the top of his filmmaking career with his latest release 'Viduthalai 1'. The film starring Soori, Bhavani Sre and Vijay Sethupathi has taken a solid opening at the box office and has been further fuelled by high critical acclaim from the media and general audiences.

During a recent press interaction Kalaipuli S Thanu confirmed that the long pending 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Suriya in the lead will take off soon. However Vetrimaaran has about fifteen days shoot left to complete 'Viduthalai 2'. Cinematographer Velraj in an exclusive interview to us stated that the filming will happen in the next few weeks and the film will hit the screens within the next three months.

Suriya fans have to wait for at least June or July before Vetrimaaran can realistically move on to 'Vaadivaasal'. The expectations for 'Viduthalai 2' has skyrocketed after the release of the first part and fans who got a glimpse of the Vijay Sethupathi rampage cant wait to see his and Vetrimaaran's magic unfold on screen.

'Viduthalai 2' like the first part is produced by Elred Kumar under the banner RS Infotainment with music by Ilayaraja. The film also stars Chethan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Balaji Shakthivel, Ilavarasu, Thamizh and Rajeev Menon.
