Ace director Vetrimaaran started the new film, 'MaPoSi', as a producer starring actor Vemal in the lead role and Bose Venkat taking care of the directorial duties. The team presented the film's first-look poster and intro video on the internet, which were highly intriguing.

The first look shows Vemal as a teacher, writing on a blackboard with bruises on his face while the students are in the background. The intro video narrates the history of education in India and how a remote village, Mangollai, is denied education because of superstitions. The film's story is set in this village where Vemal enters as a teacher.

The first look and intro video are now going viral on social media. Bose Venkat of 'Kanni Madam' fame is writing and directing this film. 'MaPoSi' is a joint production of Grassroot Film Company and SSS Pictures. The movie has music scored by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Iniyan J Harris, editing by Sreejith Sarang and art direction by Bharathi Buddhar.
