The shooting of Vetrimaaran`s ambitious trilogy film Vada Chennai` began early last year, but for some unknown reason was stopped midway even causing speculations that the project was dropped. However, shooting has resumed with Dhanush, Andrea, Aishwarya Rajesh, Daniel Balaji and Subramaniam Shiva in the cast.

Vetrimaaran who has maintained silence about the delay of Vada Chennai` has opened up at last and has revealed the real reason behind it. Since Visaranai` went to the Oscars, Vetrimaaran obviously needed time to showcase the film in Hollywood and hence it demanded his full concentration. Dhanush understood his director`s plight and generously gave him the leeway and not one to waste time made his directorial debut Pa Pandi` and finished acting in VIP2`.
