We all are well aware of the controversy between director Ameer and producer Gnanavel Raja over the 2007 film, 'Paruthiveeran'. A case filed by Ameer against Gnanavel Raja, Suriya and Karthi is still active. Ameer also confirmed in an interview that he is not on talking terms with Suriya because of Gnanavel Raja.
Meanwhile, Suriya is set to join director Vetrimaaran for the highly awaited project, 'Vaadivaasal'. Vetrimaaran recently confirmed that Ameer will be playing a vital role in the film. After this controversy became a hot topic, reports broke out that Vaadivaasal might not happen as there is a conflict between Suriya and Ameer but Vetrimaaran is adamant about casting Ameer.
Now, Vetrimaaran's Grassroot Film Company took to X (formerly Twitter) and clarified that Ameer is in the project and they recently met for a discussion regarding 'Vaadivaasal'. Sharing a picture from their meeting, they wrote, "Director #VetriMaaran met Director #Ameer to discuss his role in #Vaadivaasal. The prominence of his role in the script has increased during the writing process and is tailor made for Director #Ameer. He is irreplaceable as an actor in the film."
