It was announced before few months that director Vetrimaaran's next movie after Asuran will star comedian Soori in the lead role and that it'll be produced by Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment.
However due to the pandemic situation Vetrimaaran changed the script and is now producing the movie himself and this movie is based on Jeyamohan's short story Thunaivan.
Now the latest news on this project is that it will have music scored by Ilayaraaja. This movie which also stars director Bharathiraja in an important role will be shot in Sathyamangalam forests from next week.
