Vetrimaaran to do it first time for Soori?

Director Vetrimaaran had last directed the movie Asuran starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier in lead roles besides also starring Ken Karunaas, Teejay, Ammu Abhirami and Prakash Raj. The movie which was based on the novel Vekkai written by Poomani became a superhit.
After the success of Asuran, Vetrimaaran had been signed by its producer Kalaipuli S Thanu for a new movie starring Suriya, but before this movie, Vetrimaaran had signed another movie with Soori playing the lead role and to be produced by Elred Kumar.
While initially Vetrimaran had said that he will be adapting a poem from Na Muthukumar's Pattampoochi Virpavan for the screenplay of his movie with Soori, the latest speculation making the rounds is that Vetrimaaran has decided to adapt another novel for Soori movie, and that this movie will be shot in foreign locations, making it the first Vetrimaran film shot abroad. An official clarification on this speculation is expected soon.
