Veteran Malayaalm actor passes away

Veteran film and theatre actor P C Soman passed away following age-related ailments. The 81-year-old, who rose to fame with critically acclaimed movies of veteran director Adoor Gopalakrishnan and many television serials, passed away on Friday at around 4 am. 

Soman has acted in over 350 plays and was part of several superhits. While his roles in award winning movies like "Swayamvaram", "Vidheyan" and "Mathilukal" were widely appreciated, he also played notable roles in the commercial hits "Kauravar", "Dhruvam" and "Fireman". Soman was an employee at Travancore Titanium Products.
