It is well known that Superstar Rajinikanth is set to make a special cameo appearance in his daughter Aishwarya's upcoming directorial project, 'Lal Salaam'. Produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are roped in to headline the lead roles in the film that has music by AR Rahman.

Aishwarya has been busy with the pre-production work for a few months now. According to sources, the shooting of Lal Salaam will commence on March 7 in Chennai. The hot news is that veteran actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar is acting as Rajinianth's sister in the sports drama. She will be joining the shoot on March 7. It is said to be a very important key role.

Jeevitha is a renowned South Indian actress in the 80s era. Then, she tied the knot with veteran Telugu actor Rajasekhar and stopped acting in films. With Lal Salaam, she is making a comeback in Tamil cinema after 25 years. She will be seen as Thalaivar's sister in the film, in which he plays a Muslim character. The movie is set in the backdrop of cricket.

The mega-scale project has cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, art direction by Ramu Thangaraj, editing by Pravin Baaskar, costume designs by Poornima Ramasamy, and publicity designs by Kabilan.
