Senior Tamil actor and street play artiste ‘Poo’ Ramu passes away

We broke to you earlier today that actor Poo Ramu was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. Now, it is being reported that the veteran Tamil artist passed away this evening around 7 PM in Chennai.
Ramu is a loved supporting character actor in Tamil cinema, a renowned street play artist and a profound writer. Though the actor had earlier acted in Kamal Haasan starrer Anbe Sivam, he rose to fame through his role in director Sasi's 'Poo' and hence called 'Poo' Ramu.
Ramu is well-known for his roles in 'Nanban', 'Soorarai Pottru', 'Karnan', 'Pariyerum Perumal', 'Neerparavai' and 'Thangameengal'. The fans, media and the film fraternity are expressing their condolences to the senior actor.
