Actor Sivakumar shares memories of late actor Srikanth!

Veteran Tamil cinema veteran actor Srikanth passed away yesterday. Actor Srikanth made his film debut in 1965 in the film 'Vennira Aadai' directed by director Sridhar. He has acted in supporting roles in many films with actors like Shivaji Ganesan, Sivakumar, Muthuraman and Jaisankar.

Later he appeared as an opponent with actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. He became an actor who can be admired by the big stars and artists of Tamil cinema. Actor Sivakumar who had an unbreakable bond with hum shared a heartfelt note.

Sivakumar wrote, "My dear friend Mr Srikanth made his debut in April 1965 as the protagonist of Sridhar's 'Vennira Aadai' film as Jayalalithaa's pair. Born in Erode and working at the US Embassy, Venky was famous as a stage actor who grabbed the attention of K Balachander. He used 'Srikanth' as his stage name after his debut in the Kollywood film industry."

"Srikanth was the one who helped Nhesh and Vaali during their initial days in cinema. Although he could didn't get the role of the protagonist, he exhibited his excellent acting skills in various films. Recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Today I met Srikanth, Lilavati, Meera's husband Zach Alexander, granddaughter Kaveri at her only daughter Meera's house and congratulated her by giving her two coffee table books called 'Ooviyam' and 'Cinema'. Today I ask the Lord to sanctify his soul.#RIPSrikanth," he further added.
