One of the senior most stage actor, popular in small screen and rarely found in big screen Gurumurthy suffered a massive heart attack on last Friday evening. He succumbed to it on the way to Rajasekhar hospital on Kanakapura Road. 70 years Gurumurthy was very actively seen in the recent Aprilna Himabindu` audio release at Chamundeswari Studio.

Gurumurthy known for fun filled roles that carried lot of natural instinct was house hold name from his Adachanegaagi Kshamisi` doordarshan program. He leaves behind wife Poornima and two sons Jayanth and Nishanth besides lot of admirers in the field of theatre, TV and cinema.

He hailed from Tiptur taluk of Tumkur district. Gurumurthy with spectacles was seen in films like Kanti, Kaada Beladingalu, Gandhi Jayanthi, Ananthana Chellata, Accident, Jaggudaada and others.
