Veteran Malayalam actor G K Pilla passed away due to age-related ailments on Friday. He was 97.
In a career spanning over 65 long years, the legendary actor has acted in over 325 Malayalam films. The 1954 film Snehaseema, directed by SS Rajan and written by Ponkunnam Varkey, was Pillai's debut movie. GK Pillai has largely been credited for revolutionizing the mannerism of antagonists in Malayalam cinema. He has acted in many films including 'Ashwamedham', 'Aromalunni', 'Chola', 'Aanakkalari' and 'Karyasthan'. He had also acted in several television serials including 'Kadamattathu Kathanar' and 'Kumkumapoovu'.
