Veruthe Oru Bharya
Jayaram who is at an all time low in his career, is trying for a strong comeback with the new family entertainer titled as `Veruthe Oru Bharya'. The movie tells a story which every Malayalee can relate, and one that can happen in any Kerala family, promises to work magic at the box-office. Gopika, the lucky heroine of Mollywood, is also teaming up for the first time with Jayaram, in this movie. And all eyes of the trade are in the lookout whether the lady can bring some luck for the actor through the film, actually her last outing to films before her marriage.
'Veruthe Oru Bharya' is planned as an interesting look into a small family problem that everyone knows, but never been addressed through the silver screens. In these days of booming I T and tourism, very few of our ladies remain as house wives enjoying much of the house hold duties. And when asked to men about 'what their wives are doing, majority will answer ''Oh, she is sitting idle in the house, she is a house wife...''.
'Veruthe Oru Bharya', delves into the related questions, about whether the house wives are sitting idle and jobless at homes, whether they get rest, leave or retirement amidst heavy house chores.
The film moves through the life of Sugunan, an overseer in the electricity board. His small family comprises of his wife Bindhu and their only daughter Anjana, a ninth standard student. Though Sugunan is honest and meticulously principled man in public, who doesn't like wasting even a single unit of electricity, he is a typical male chauvinist at home. Sugunan considers his wife just as a person who is obliged to meet all the pressures in managing homely affairs. Neither he acknowledges his wife's efforts in maintaining the peaceful atmosphere at home nor does he help her in any of the related matters. He never allows his wife to engage with her friends or relatives or attend public functions. Never do Sugunan takes his wife for leisure to have a break from her routine pressures Bindu, on the other hand, enjoys her life doing house hold duties and attending to the related chores even though she never has got the love and care which she expected from her husband. All these grudges lead to regular petty fights with Sugunan. One day, totally exhausted of the inconsiderate and inanimate behavior of her husband, she decides to retire from the responsibilities of a housewife and stops doing her routine jobs .The film makers promises more heavy loaded fun from here after
Jayaram and Gopika give life to the lead characters, Sugunan and Bindhu. The movie scripted by K. Girish Kumar thus tells a story that everyone knows and if realized well, will end up the long drought of hits in the career of Jayaram.
Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Niveditha and Sona Nair are also in the cast of this movie directed by Akku Akbar. The songs of the movie by Vayalar Sharath- Shyam Dharman team which are heavily publicized through channels are already big hits, and this offers heavy promises to Jayaram and Pyramid Saimira the distributor of the movie, who doesn't have a single big hit in the last couple of years in Malayalam.
'Veruthe Oru Bharya' is produced by Salahudeen under the banner of Cinema Kottaka. Pyramid Saimira will release the movie by the end of July.
