'ICON' was announced on April 8 in 2019. It has been more than a year but there is no sign of 'ICON' going on the floors. Director Venu Sriram has opened up on the project.
Speaking to a TV channel, the 'MCA' director said that the project has had to be deferred. "After I got on board to wield the megaphone for 'Vakeel Saab', Allu Arjun garu told me to concentrate fully on the film and give the best output. He told me it's a nice opportunity for me (to get to direct Pawan Kalyan). He is happy that I am doing 'Vakeel Saab'," Venu told the TV channel.
He didn't say anything on when 'ICON' might go on the floors. Producer Dil Raju seems to be waiting for the right time. Bunny is busy with Sukumar's 'Pushpa'. Followed by 'Pushpa', he will be doing Koratala Siva's untitled film.
As for 'Vakeel Saab', the film might go on the floors from the last week of September. The Jana Sena chief won't be participating in the schedule. Venu has plans to wrap up the film by December. Which means Pawan will be taking part in the shoot this year itself.
