Sony's comic book adaptation, the blockbuster flick Venom starring Tom Hardy, is all set to get a sequel, if reports are to be believed. Buzz is that Kelly Marcel has been roped in to return as the writer of this sequel, while also acting as the executive producer.

Released in the fag end of 2018, Venom starring Tom Hardy, met with mixed to negative responses from critics,  but still the movie received patronage from audience, making the movie a massive blockbuster grossing a massive $855 million, becoming 2018's 6th highest grosser.

With the China release also helping with a whopping $111 million opening, Venom achieved unprecedented success despite being trashed in reviews. This sequel will have Tom Hardy returning as the reporter Eddie Brock, who turns into a dual personality, and will be battling Carnage played by Woody Harrelson.
