Released in 2009,Suseenthiran made his debut with Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, which was about a Kabaddi team from a village making it big and the team members succeeding among their people, had turned a success, and the movie marked the debut of actor Vishnu Vishal, and gave a new lease of life for actors Soori and Appu Kutty as well.

Now the same cast except for Vishnu Vishal and Saranya Mohan have teamed up for the sequel to the movie Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2. Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 will have Vikranth playing the lead role and Arthana Binu as the female lead. Soori, Appu Kutty and Kishore will also be seen in key roles in this movie.

Directed by Suseenthiran's associate Selva Sekaran, Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 has its story penned by Suseenthiran himself, and produced by Saai Arputham cinemas and Alexander films, the movie is now announced as a July 12 release. Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu 2 has music by Selva Ganesh.
