Venkatesh's love for cricket is known to everyone. He is surely present at the cricket matches that are held in Hyderabad. Now sources from Celebrity Cricket League confirm that he is going to lead the Tollywood cricket team.

The team is owned by Vishnu Manchu and on the request of the actor, Venkatesh immediately agreed to be the captain. The matches will be held in the third week of next month between Bollywood team owned by Sohail Khan, Tamil team led by Suriya, Kannada and Tollywood teams.

Venkatesh is an avid follower of cricket and never spared a chance to play the game. He even led Venkatesh Warriors in the recently held Tollywood trophy in Hyderabad.

When contacted, team owner Vishnu Manchu confirmed the news, "I requested him to lead the team and he instantly agreed. He is one of the most sporty stars in the industry and is keen on encouraging the younger lot. We will soon announce the Tollywood star team"

Whats more, Taapsee and Samantha are the lucky mascots of the team and will cheer the team on the ground.The practice sessions, dress launch and other promotions will be held in the second week of February.Though the matches were scheduled to be held in the last week of this month, it got postponed to February as Tollywood team was yet to be finalised.
