Venkatesh has gone for another remake of a Malayalam movie. The last time he did, it was a family-crime thriller, Drushyam, which became a box office hit as well as received critical acclaim.

This time around, Venky has been roped in for a comedy. Bandla Ganesh, who has acquired the remake rights of the 2015 hit Two Countries for a bomb, has zeroed in on Venkatesh to reprise Dileep's role.

It will be interesting to see who will reprise Mamta Mohandas' role. Also, whether it will be Shafi, the director of the original himself, who will direct the film is to be seen.

Meanwhile, Venky is shooting for Maruthi's Babu Bangaram. He has also been signed by Suresh Productions for a film to be directed by Kishore Tirumala of Nenu.. Sailaja fame.
