It is well known that 'Shankar Dada MBBS', the remake of 'Munnabhai MBBS', was a big hit with Chiranjeevi in the lead. Now 'Lage Raho Munnabhai,' which came as a sequel to 'Munnabhai MBBS', is also being remade in Telugu as 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' and Gemini Film Circuits has bagged the rights for the remake.

This film is likely to go to sets in January. While several young heroes are vying for the role of 'ATM', it is reliably learnt that Venkatesh is likely to play the role of 'Abhishek Bachchan' in the original. It is also learnt that Vidya Balan, who played the heroine in the original is likely to make her debut as heroine in Telugu. It is also rumoured that Prabhu Deva is most likely to wield the megaphone for this film.

Several music directors are also vying for the slot as Mega Star is playing the hero.
