Recently, there were reports that D Suresh Babu was seriously looking at doing a film starring Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati.

Reports are now emerging that he might well bankrool a remake of 'Vikram Vedha', the Tamil-language blockbuster.

A gangster drama with a lot of intelligent dialogue thrown in, the remake, if and when it is made with the Daggubati duo, will see Venky reprising Madhavan's role. On the other hand, Rana will reprise Vijay Sethupathi's character.

Imagine it: Venky playing an upright and brave cop, and Rana playing a gangster.

However, talks are at a nascent stage. It has a long way to go before the project gets materialized.

Right from the audience to critics and biggies like Rajinikanth, everybody is liking 'Vikram Vedha', the coming-of-age drama.
