Venkatesh's 'Narappa' is done with Censor formalities

'Narappa', starring Venkatesh in a well-rounded role, today completed its Censor formalities. The CBFC board members admittedly appreciated its content. A remake of Dhanush's 'Asuran' (Tamil), it is directed by Srikanth Addala.
Suresh Productions' D Suresh Babu and producer Kalaipuli S Thanu said in a statement that the action thriller has received UA certification.

Starring Priyamani as Sundaramma, Venky's wife, the film has Karthik Ratnam, Rajeev Kanakala and Rao Ramesh in other pivotal roles. Priyamani had to learn the Anantapur dialect for the much-awaited remake. "The film's making values will be a highlight. Venkatesh has played a never-seen-before character," the makers said.
Rumouredly, the film has been bought by Amazon Prime for a direct OTT release. This needs official confirmation as of now.
Mani Sharma and Shyam K Naidu are its music composer and cinematographer, respectively. Gandhi Nadikudikar is its art director. Story is by Vetrimaran. Satyanand has worked as its script consultant. Fights are by Peter Heins and Vijay. Lyrics are by Sirivennela, Suddala Ashok Teja, Anantha Sriram, KK and Kasarla Shyam.
