'Drushyam 2', the sequel to the 2014 thriller 'Drushyam', will be directed by Jeethu Joseph. Needless to say, it is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit 'Drishyam 2', which released last month on Amazon Prime.

Starring Venkatesh and Meena, the film was launched today in Hyderabad. The makers said that Nadhiya and senior Naresh will be joined by Esther Anil for key roles.

D Suresh Babu, the senior producer and Venky's brother, has joined hands with Antony Perumbavoor and Rajkumar Sethupathi for the thriller, which is likely to hit the screens in the second half of this year.

Anup Rubens, who hasn't done a big-ticket movie with a star hero in years, is on board. Satheesh Kurup is the film's director of photography.

The thriller was recently okayed by Venky, who awaits the release of 'Narappa' this May.
