Versatile actor Mohan Babu has completed four decades in Telugu cinema industry. His first film Swargam Narakam, directed by veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao has clocked 40 years today. Mohan Babu's performance as Rajesh in the film won accolades back then and fetched him many opportunities to showcase his acting prowess. Mohan Babu has acted in over 500 films as hero and villain in a career spanning over four decades.
Mohan Babu is one of the few actors who can effortlessly sprout dialogues with great variation and unique diction. Some of his popular films include Sivaranjani, Padaharella Vayasu, Alluri Seetharama Raju, Premabhishekam, Lankeswarudu, Janaki Ramudu, Bala Gopaludu and Kodama Simham. He catapulted to stardom with films such as Alludu Garu, Assembly Rowdy, Brahma, Donga Police, Allari Mogudu, Major Chandrakanth, Pedarayudu, Collector Garu, Veedevadandi Babu Sriramulayya and Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdary.
Mohan Babu also portrayed iconic roles of King Saluva Narasimha, Yama Dharma Raja and a sage named Rudraksha Rushi in films like Annamayya, Yamadonga, Jagadguru Adi Shankara and Yamaleela 2. Besides acting in films, Mohan Babu is also popular for his works as an educationalist, producer and philanthropist. Mohan Babu will be next seen in a multi-starrer Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu. The film which is scheduled for release on December 25 also has Allari Naresh as the other lead.
