Forget all your worries and sit in the cinema halls where 'Venkata in Sankata' is showing. You would definitely laugh for two hours and fifteen minutes in this best of four direction of Ramesh Aravind. The studious home work Ramesh Aravind has done for the story of Madhu Thotapalli is an engaging entertainer. The dialogues written by Nanda and the near perfect comedy timing of dozen artists makes this worth watching for the entire family. It is a double the ticket price of entertainment for you!

Compared two comedy entertainers 'Rama Shama Bhama' and 'Satyavan Savitri' plus one thriller 'Accident' in this 'Venkata in Sankata' Ramesh Aravind concentrated more on the screenplay and dialogues. He has given best performance too in this speedy, laughing 'Venkata in Sankata' Kannada cinema for "Sinema House" maiden production.

Venkata (Ramesh Aravind) the cop is always in soup as his junior Rajaram Laddu (Devdas Kappipad) takes the cream of his intelligent and daring work. The solution to the terrorists attack in the Mall and a Cocaine seller caught by Venkata in the last minute is seen by the superiors in the police department that Laddu has done it. So wrongly the reward goes to Laddu and Venkata misses promotions. His grandma in the house Gundamma (MS Umesh) takes Venkata to a palmist to get some precious stone so that he would not miss the promotion next time. Venkata is not interested in such predictions via stones in finger rings. An alert Venkata this time traces the missing of ammonium in the college laboratory and that links to the sale of drugs. Twins studying in the college are behind this what Venkata traces earn him the lost pride in the department. But how he traces the real culprits who have changed the tracks of college students is explained in a gripping style not missing the comedy elements too. Venkata finds Iqbal in the cell who is behind all nefarious activities. On the arrival of Prime Minister to the college silver jubilee some more chaos erupt but Venkata saves the PM with his brilliance and get the post of Police Commissioner posting on the spot.

The comedy footage for most of the prominent artists in this film is a treat to watch. Ramesh Aravind besides heading the megaphone has done splendid acting too. In the song Kanasa Nenaso Maleye..Ramesh looks very romantic with Sharmila Mandre. Sharmila Mandre the current popular heroine in Kannada has a good role in a small quota in this film. The debutant Meghana is having strength to be cool and pleasant on screen.

This is the best of veteran actor on stage, cinema and television M.S.Umesh. As Gundamma he provides very big relief. Next is Devadas Kappikad the famous stage actor in Dakshin Kannada. His timing as junior to Ramesh Aravind is superb and he has a great future on silver screen. Sanketh Kashi wearing the dresses in reverse side plus as 'Mareguli' (forgetful) is fabulous. Dattanna, Karibasavaiah, Madhu, Umashri and Rajanikanth never fall behind in evoking laughter through their roles.

Rickey Kej who became a rage from 'Accident' has two lovely songs out of four scorings he has done. Both the songs are good in melody and lyrics. The college song is well conceived. PKH Das lent good support and his lighting top angles are very good. There is very good graphic work too in this film.

You cannot miss this complete family entertainer!
