Director Venkat Prabhu, who has always been known for his fun filled entertainers like Chennai 600028, Goa, Briyani, with humour and friendship being the crux, has also acted in several movies in lead roles as well as supporting roles and has made an impact.

Recently, he was seen in the Zee5 original flick Kalavu where he played a cop, and yet again he will be seen playing a cop in the upcoming untitled flick directed by SG Charles and produced by actor Nithin Sathya's Shvedh Entertainments. The movie will reportedly have him playing a sub inspector named Murthy.

The film will have the actor clashing with the hero Vaibhav, and Venkat Prabhu will be seen as an angry cop who does anything to achieve what he needs. The film will launch Vani Bhojan as Vaibhav's romantic interest, while Eswari Rao will play a meaty role after Kaala.
