Venkat Prabhu surprised everyone with his debut directorial venture 'Chennai 600028', the movie on Gully Cricket starring new comers was a runaway hit in Kollywood.
Wasting no time, actor-turned-director Venkat Prabhu is quick to start his next which is tentatively titled 'Ezhu'.
The big news is that a yesteryear Bollywood 'Super Star' has been approached by Venkat Prabhu to don a key role in 'Ezhu'.
The movie features Sumanth, son of Kothanda Rama Reddy, Premji Gangai Amaran, S P B Charan in the cast.
Venkat Prabhu has managed a casting coup by convincing yesteryear heroine Gouthami and Malayalam star Jayaram to do prominent roles in the movie.
Produced by Siva's Amma Creations, the movie is planned for a release in summer 2008.
Sources close to the Venkat Prabhu says that the movie would be totally different from Chennai 600028 and it would be a new attempt in Indian cinema as well!
Venkat Prabhu had approached Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruthi Haasan to be part of the cast. However she declined and it is believed that she has expressed her desire to be associated with the project behind the screen.
