Since the announcement that director Venkat Prabhu will be making a film with Simbu as the lead role, fans have been going crazy. There were a lot of speculations around the film on what kind of genre it would touch. 

Even there was a buzz going around that the title would be ‘STR Athiradi Venkat Prabhu Action’. But now it is confirmed that they were all just buzz as the director himself has revealed the title. The title is ‘Maanaadu’. The title is very synonymous to politics. And the title poster also has the tagline ‘Stand for what is right even if it means standing alone’.

By this we can learn that it might be an out and out political film in Venkat Prabhu style. V House Productions is bankrolling the film and according to the announcement the film is all slated for a summer release next year.
