Maverick filmmaker Venkat Prabhu, currently immersed in the release preparations for his upcoming film "The Greatest Of All Time" featuring Thalapathy Vijay, recently attended a fan meet in Malaysia to promote the movie, which is set to hit theatres on September 5th. During the event, he dropped exciting hints about the much-anticipated sequel to the 2011 blockbuster, "Mankatha".
Venkat Prabhu directed "Mankatha", the milestone 50th film of Thala Ajith, which became one of Tamil cinema's biggest hits. For years, fans have speculated about the possibility of "Mankatha 2". At the recent fan gathering, Prabhu expressed his eagerness to collaborate with Ajith once again for the sequel, making it clear that "Mankatha 2" could only happen with Ajith in the lead role.
He also hinted that a reunion for "Mankatha 2" might be on the horizon when the time is right. Prabhu recently met Ajith in Azerbaijan while the actor was filming for "Vidaamuyarchi". Reflecting on their meeting, he said, "I had a great time with Ajith Kumar sir in Azerbaijan for three days, discussing various projects. Both Ajith sir and Vijay sir know that I want to collaborate with them together on screen." These revelations have sparked excitement among fans.
