Yesterday, Chennai based doctor Simon Hercules who had been receiving treatment after being diagnosed for Coronavirus passed away after a cardiac arrest. Today there was a huge issue over his burial.

When the body of the doctor was brought for burial, people gathered and stopped the medical professionals, the ambulance drivers and attacked them, preventing them from burying the doctor's body. This incident has lead to huge outrage on social media, with netizens worrying over the lack of humanity.

Referring to this inhuman incident, director Venkat Prabhu has tweeted "The same day a daily wages working woman’s gesture in crisis appreciated and saluted by the police higher officials , here the locals protesting and beating up the doctors!
