Venkat Prabhu-Premgi Amaran's mother passes away suddenly

Veteran Multi talented music composer and filmmaker Gangai Amaran's wife Manimegalai Gangai Amaran passed away at 11.10pm on May 9th. She was 69 and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to a brief illness. The last rites will be held today.

Manimegalai Gangai Amaran is survived by her husband and sons director Venkat Prabhu and actor composer Premgi Amaran and grandchildren. The brothers who were very close to their mother are devastated by the loss and their close friends circle in the film industry are in constant touch to console them.
