Director Venkat Prabhu is presently busy with the post production of his 'Chennai 600028 II' which is also his maiden production venture. This is the sequel to his directorial debut and 2007 blockbuster 'Chennai 600028'.

One thing that every film buff has been expecting for long is the sequel to Thala Ajith's landmark 50th film 'Mankatha'. In a recent interview VP, the mastermind behind the memorable blockbuster has opened up about the possibility of 'Mankatha 2'.

He has said that he is as eager as the fans to make a sequel to 'Mankatha'. Whether the sequel will be a continuation of the same story or an altogether different plot is something he will decide soon.

Venkat Prabhu also conveyed his wish to do a film with Ilayathalapathy Vijay and that will be a cool and colourful film.

The 'Saroja' director also confirmed his plans to make 'Billa 2' with Silambarasan in 2018. He has said that he has thought of an idea of the sequel to 'Billa' . This film will be his version of the Billa story and it is likely to have a different title as already a film bearing the 'Billa 2' title has released with Ajith playing the lead role. The film released in 2012 is a prequel to Billa.
