A few months ago Maanaadu director Venkat Prabhu met with the Kannada Superstar Sudeep at his residence and spent some quality time enjoying the dish made by Sudeep himself. The former also praised the latter's culinary skills through a tweet. It looks like the director has narrated a story to Sudeep and he seems to have liked the script.

Speaking to an online entity recently, Sudeep spoke about the offers he has been garnering of late and how a majority of the prospects coming from Bollywood have been in relation to the antagonist's role. He went on to add that while he awaits a "meatier" role from those up north, a number of exciting offers have been coming his way through South Indian filmmakers.

"The characters I look forward to doing are mostly coming from my home [industry] and the neighboring places in the south. Whatever's been coming from here (Bollywood) has been mostly in relation to the antagonist's part, which I am not comfortable with unless it is really challenging. We are making films which will release in Hindi as well - one of my next projects is with Mr. Venkat Prabhu who has made 'Maanadu' and 'Mankatha' in the past and he is a brilliant filmmaker. I am very excited to work with him, it's a brilliant script,(sic)" said Sudeep in the video interview.

Though Venkat Prabhu divulged no further details about the reason behind his meeting with Sudeep, it looks like Sudeep will be back in Kollywood in Venkat Prabhu's directorial. On the other hand, Venkat Prabhu's latest release Maanaadu was a great success with Silambarasan in the lead role.
