Director Venkat Prabhu has been known for his fun filled entertainer movies like Chennai 600028, Goa, Saroja, Mankatha, Biryani, Massu Engira Maasilamani etc and had last directed Chennai 600028 IInd innings which was released before three years.

Venkat Prabhu has completed Party, a multistarrer which is ready for release and had also started shooting for his next movie Maanaadu starring Simbu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah and many others and this movie will resume shooting after lockdown.

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu will also be making his digital debut soon and has directed a web series for Disney Plus Hotstar. While it was earlier said that Kajal Aggarwal and Vaibhav will play leads in the web series, it has now been revealed that this series has been titled as Live Telecast. The streaming date of Live Telecast will be announced soon.
