The first glimpse from 'Custody', the upcoming action thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu, was launched on the special occasion of New Year 2023. The much-awaited movie stars Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. It is gearing up for a worldwide release on 12 May 2023.

The less than thirty seconds video promises a series of action-packed events taking place in the carnival backdrop. We also see a couple of reversed clips in the promo which is reminiscent of the teaser of Venkat Prabhu's last film, 'Maanadu', as it was completely in backward action. The teaser ends with a buildup shot of Naga Chaitanya and a few action blocks.

Fans are wondering if the director has made another film related to time after the blockbuster time loop movie, 'Maanadu'. This movie will be a mega multistarrer comprising Arvind Swami, Sharat Kumar, Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premgi Amaren, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath and many other notable actors in prominent roles.

The music for Custody is jointly composed by the maestro Ilaiyaraaja and the little maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja. Produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen, SR Kathir handles the cinematography, editing by Venkat Raajen and action choreography by Stun Siva and Mahesh Mathew. Junglee Music South acquired the audio rights to the upcoming film.
