Director Venkat Prabhu who has graced Tamil cinema with back – to – back blockbusters is now working on Karthi starrer ‘Biriyani’. The film is currently in its pre-production stage.

He has completed work on the script and gathered his technical team to brief them about the movie. Speaking about the film he says, ‘This Biriyani will be loved by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians’.

Venkat’s usual technical team consisting of Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, Praveen and Srikanth as editors, Sakthi Saravanan as cameraman and cousin Vasuki Bhaskar as costume designer will be part of this project as well.

Post the meet, Vasuki wrote on her microblogging page, “The entire team met up for the narration of Biriyani which was very good! It was followed by home-made Biriyani for lunch. Happy and excited about this film, you are just gonna love it!”

Although Samantha is touted to play the lead lady, nothing has been officially announced by the makers yet.
