With support from more almost 587 members, Venkaiah Naidu might become the next Vice President with as a stellar a win as BJP-led NDA`s Ram Nath Kovind in the Presidential elections.

Naidu is expecting all southern parties to support him. Sonia Gandhi admitted that this is not going to be an easy battle and that this was not about winning or losing, almost accepting defeat for the UPA candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi. Voting takes place on August 5.
