Vengayam, says Sathyaraj

Sathyaraj will do the real on reel for ÂVengayamÂ, a film directed by newcomer Rajkumar. For the veteran is appearing himself (actor Sathyaraj) in a guest role specially shaped for him in the movie.
ÂI found the role very interesting when Rajkumar approached me. ÂVengayam is a word often used by Periyar. The title itself conveys a lot of meaning, says the actor, who played the lead role in a biopic on the rationalist leader.
He adds: ÂAt the same time, the film will not be a campaign to spread the principles of Periyar. It will come with enough commercial elements to cater to the tastes of all sections of the audiences.Â
Throwing more light on his part in the movie, he says, ÂI am appearing for a song penned by Suba Veerapandian and in a few scenes. They will come with a message. Get ready for some surprises.Â
