The long dealyed Vemal-Anjali starrer 'Mapla Singam' has finally got a release date. The makers have confirmed that the film will be hitting the screens on March 11, 2016.

Touted as a humor based family entertainer set in a rural background, the film has been produced by P.Madhan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures banner. The film has been directed by Rajasekhar and Don Ashok has penned the dialogues. Musical score has been done by N.Raghunandan.

'Mapla Singam' boasts off a huge comic bandwagon which includes Soori, Radharavi, Kaali Venkat, Madhumitha, Ramdoss, Singampuli, Mayilsamy and Manobala .

Vijay Sethupathi's 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum' directed by Nalan Kumarasamy has been scheduled to hit the screens on March 11. With the announcement on 'Mapla Singam', a box office clash between Vemal and Vijay Sethupathi has become imminent.
