After a gap of four years, veteran director Viji Thampy is once again wearing the director`s cap. The director will be doing a mega budget period film with Prithviraj in the lead role. Reportedly, the movie will be on Velu Thampi Dalawa, the Prime Minister of the Indian kingdom of Travancore between 1802 and 1809, one of the earliest individuals to rebel against the British East Indian Company's supremacy in India. Scripted by Renji Panicker, the movie is yet to be titled.

Apparently, the four years gap happened in the career of Viji Thampy to prepare himself for such a big project. This is the third film that will bring together Prithviraj and Viji Thampy after Nammal Thammil and Krithyam. Viji Thampy`s last film was Nadodi Mannan, starring Dileep. The upcoming movie's shoot is expected to begin by 2019.
