Popular folk and playback singer Velmurugan participated in 'Bigg Boss 4' and kept things entertaining there but was eliminated last week. He was the second contestant after Rekha to come out of the house while Archana VJ and Suchithra have entered through the wild card.

Velmurugan is busy giving interviews regarding his stay on 'Bigg Boss 4' and the inevitable question that he faces most is the controversial hug that he gave Sanam Shetty that has meme creators having a field day even today.

Velmurugan has stated that in that task he and Sanam were not expected to win by the others but they took it as a challenge and tasted victory. He has explained that only to celebrate the moment he hugged Sanam and did not do so before that or after that to anyone.

Velmurugan has added that when a person of dark color does something it becomes a controversy and he pointed out that earlier Snehan too was trolled for hugging his female co-contestants during 'Bigg Boss 1'.

Velmurugan has questioned whether in the eyes of the trolls he and Snehan are animals and not humans and don't they have a right to hug a fellow human being to express emotions.
