Cinematographer Priyan passed away suddenly

Cinematographer Priyan passed away due to a massive heart attack at 3.30pm today (9/11/2017) at his K.K. Nagar residence.  Born Nagendran he worked as an assistant of Balu Mahendra and the serials of Suresh Menon and Rajiv Menon.  HIs feature film debut was in K.S. Athiyaman's 'Thotta Sinungi' thereafter excelling in films such as 'Porkaalam', 'Thenali', 'Star', 'Velayudham', the 'Singam' series.

Priyan is known for his collaboration with director Hari in all his films including the upcoming 'SaamySquare' aka 'Saamy2'.  We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and the film fraternity.
