Director Mohan Raja’s latest film Velaikkaran is one of the highly anticipated movies in Kollywood. The movie is getting ready for a grand worldwide release this Christmas season on December 22. Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara in the lead roles, the movie is expected to have a grand release in Kerala as well. The Kerala theatrical rights of Velaikkaran has been bagged by E4 Entertainment for a whopping price.

'Velaikkaran' is Fahadh’s debut movie in Tamil. Velaikkaran’s stellar star cast also includes Sneha, Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji, Sathish, Rohini and many others. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and his songs have already turned into chartbusters. RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios is funding this movie. The socially relevant commercial entertainer, similar to the director’s previous film Thani Oruvan, has already pinned high hopes among the audience with its trailer and songs.

Though Velaikkaran has a huge release in Tamil Nadu, in Kerala, the movie will face the heat from five Malayalam Christmas releases- Prithviraj’s Vimanam, Jayasurya’s Aadu2, Mammootty’s Masterpiece, Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Aana Alaralodalaral and Tovino Thomas’s Mayanadhi. reportedly, the movie will be released in only 80-90 screens in Kerala.
