Ram Gopal Varma is back... The maverick filmmaker returns with a vengeance with this latest big screen outing 'Veerappan', a film that showcases the biggest manhunt in history.

As a matter of fact, the film is the story of 'Veerappan' told through the point of view of the people who were involved in killing him. It is said that RGV gathered his research material based upon extensive interviews with some of Veerappan's ex-gang members, people who used to mediate between him and the government and mainly from officers involved in operations to kill him.

A source close to the project stated, "The film is extremely intense and super gritty with RGV in his full elements. He further added that a particular scene in the film unravels a plot of Veerappan to kidnap Rajinikant in a very similar manner of how he kidnapped Kannada Super Star Raj Kumar. RGV came to know about this plan of Veerappan wanting to kidnap Rajinikant through sources who were very close to Veerappan. All in all it will be exciting to see on screen what made a monster like Veerappan possible and it will be even more exciting to see how he was finally killed.
