The dreaded fugitive who kidnapped Dr Rajakumar and kept in the forest for 108 days that was mainly the reason for ill health of ‘Annavru’ in later days has interested for a film script. Veerappan was shot dead by an operation Veerappan is the point of interest for director AMR Ramesh who made Santosha, Cyanide and Police Quarters in the past.

In the past ‘Veerappan’ Kannada film released in mid 90’s in which dynamic hero Devaraj played the title role bagged the third best film award at the state level.

What is interesting in this new film on Veerappan is that Arjun action king of Tamil films is playing the role of encounter specialist ACP Vijayakumar who gunned down Veerappan.

The film titled as ‘Veerappan Attahasa’ the growth and death of Veerappan in the dense forest are focused in this film. AMR Ramesh is producing this film. This is my ten years dream says Ramesh. He is shooting in Mettur, Satyamangala and other villages where Veerappan was frequently moving around.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music and Vijay Milton is the cameraman.
