Dravidar Kazhagam's president Ki Veeramani has appealed to Tamil superstar Rajinikanth to be cautious in his approach. "Don't become the Maaresan for the BJP at any cost," he told Rajini.
Referring to Rajini's speech delivered on 31st December which is still being debated and dissected by many across coffee-tables at various places within Tamil Nadu and elsewhere, the veteran Dravidian leader wasn't amused by Rajini's talk of 'religious' politics which clearly meant that Rajii won't favour the 'Dravidian' thought in his scheme of things.
Rajini broke his silence of many yearst to reveal his political plans on Sunday, making his fans an excited lot. Addressing newsmen yesterday, Veeramani said that it was Rajini's own prerogative to take to politics as India is a democracy. It would be better if Rajini makes clear what are his policies and objectives and against whom/what he has come to politics. Only then we can decide whether to support him or not.
"Tamil Nadu is the land of EVR Periyar, who instilled rationalist thinking in us and nobody can succeed by speaking against this. I want Rajini to ensure that his outfit doesn't become the 'Maaresan' (the mysterious lamb which caused trouble to Lord Ram in epic Ramayana) for the BJP," Veeramani concluded.
