Its a good news for Ajith fans and the makers of his upcoming film. The star's film Veeram, directed by Siva has acquired a clean U certificate.

Usually a film will be ready for censors only a week before release. But Veeram has been sent for the Censor Certification and has obtained the certificate as early as 15 days before the scheduled date of release. This stands testimonial to Director Siva;s excellent planning to have finished the film well in advance offering a ample time gap for the promotions.

It is worth recollecting that Ajith's previous outing Arrambam was also censored with U certificate and the film turned out to be a super-hit since it was likened by family audiences. That fact that Veeram has also obtained a U certificate means that it is a clean family entertainer making the makers brim with happiness. In Tamilnadu, as per Government rules, the entertainment tax exemption can be availed only by the 'U' certified films. Ajith's back to back films offering such benefit for its producers has made him a dearer star for the Producers.

Veeram is also the comeback film of Tamannah whose last Tamil film as the lead lady was Siruthai that released in 2011, which was again directed by Siva .

Apart from Ajith and Tamannah paring up for the first time, the film stars Santhanam, Vidarth, Vidu Raman, and Nassera among others.
